The Death Of Elvis Aaron Presley
Elvis Presley’s final live performance took place at the Market Square Arena locate din Indianapolis on June 26th, 1977. People who had the privilege of watching this show had said it was one of his best performances in a very long time.
It was on August 17th 1977 that Elvis Presley had been found lying on the floor by his fiancée Ginger Alden. His official time of death was 3:30 PM at the Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Shortly before the Funeral for Elvis was to take place there were thousands of fans who lines up who wanted to view the open casket of Elvis. It was Bobby Mann who was a cousin of Elvis who secretly took a photo of Elvis for $18,000. This photo had appeared on the front cover of the National Enquirer which had made the publishers fastest selling issue of all time. Elvis was eventually buried in Forest Hill Cementary in Memphis Tennessee right beside his mother. On Thursday August 18th his funeral service was held at Graceland in the Meditation Garden.
In 1994 another autopsy was performed on Presley and official cause of death was a violent heart attack due to drug intoxication. It was also later determined that Presley had bribed his doctor into giving him drugs to feed his addictions. Elvis died at the age of 42 but his legacy continues to live on and has forever changed the hearts of people around the world.
