Elvis Presley Personal Life

Elvis had met Priscilla Presley at Bad Nauheim, Germany at a party when he was in the army. She was only 14 at the time whilst he was 24. During this time his relationship with Priscilla grew serious very quickly and remained strong even when he left Germany in 1960.

Priscilla and Elvis had remained in contact over the phone even when they didn’t see each other again until 1962. Her parents had made an agreement that she could see him for two weeks. After they saw each other again at Christmas time her parents allowed her to move to the United States to be with Elvis for the long term.

It was just before Christmas in 1966 that Elvis had proposed to his sweetheart Priscilla and became engaged. Interestingly, Elvis refused to have sexual intercourse with Priscilla until they were married. Eventually they were married on May 1st 1967 at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. The only child Elvis had was Lisa Marie born on February 1st, 1968. After they were married Colonel Parker had set up a photo session as well as a press conference, which took place after the ceremony. He was married to Priscilla for 13 years but unfortunately committed adultery several times with various women. They eventually divorced on October 9th, 1973 before Presley lived with Linda Thompson until his untimely death.
